Nicholas Day (Traditional Chinese: 國家紀念日), set on April 2 of every single year, is the National Day of the Imaginary Lands of Nicholas, in which to celebrate the establishment of the kingdom on April 2, 1993 BCE.

Nicholas Day, along with New Year's Day (set on January 1), and Lunar New Year, is the only legal holiday mandated to be celebrated in all of the autonomous states and regions throughout the Imaginary Lands of Nicholas. All businesses and government institutions are closed that day. In a case when the celebration day falls on an existing holiday (i.e. Saturday / Sunday, or a set holiday like Easter), the following day (that is not designated as a holiday) will be set as a statutory holiday (Traditional Chinese: 補假). This is especially observed in 2010, when the day fell on Good Friday. The following day that is not designated as a holiday happened to be April 6, 2010 (April 2 being Good Friday; April 3/4 being the weekend; April 5 being Easter Monday). That day was designated as Nicholas Statutory Holiday of 2010. It is also noted that April 7, 2010 was also designated as a quarterly census holiday.

For each Nicholas Day occurrence, all schools and institutions are closed for the week. This week is commonly referred to as Nicholas Week. For instance, in 2010, the closing dates was from March 29 to April 2. There are various celebrations and parades throughout the week.

The observance of Nicholas Day is regulated by the Act of Nicholas Day, written in 1442 BCE. All autonomous states and regions within the Imaginary Lands of Nicholas must comply with the aforementioned observance rules.

This day marks the first day of the annual cycle of the Nicholas calendar, where this day is set to be the 1st of Month 1.
